Profession: Art Director
Could you share a little bit about yourself?
“Yes, hello there! I am Andrea and I’m half German, half American, but I lived in the UK until I was 18, because of my dad’s profession. Then I moved to the United States to study Marketing. After working for a big cooperation for quite a while, I realised that wasn’t what I wanted and I decided to follow my passion: Graphic Design and Art Direction. It worked out well and I managed to work for very renowed American brands, but I worked extremely long hours and not too long ago I was close to a burn-out and in desperate need of a break. I decided to take a year off to travel the world. One of my favourite places during this trip was Barcelona and I decided to look for a job there and move. That’s actually just a couple of months ago!”
How did you find out about ChillGlobal?
“I wanted to find a way to be able to watch some German and American TV shows without having to use a complicated VPN service, since I would be travelling for such a long time. I figured I might feel homesick every now and then and I liked the thought of being able to watch something from home from my laptop, regardless of my own location. That’s how I ended up finding ChillGlobal. I Googled “watch German TV from abroad - cheap - easy to install” and that’s basically how I found it. It turned out to be for free, since I never even reached my quota of 20 hours per month!”
For what do you use ChillGlobal now?
“Still for the same thing actually, haha! Now that I live in Barcelona, I still sometimes feel the urge to watch some typically German or American TV shows. Also, in general I spend quite a lot time working from coffee and lunch places and I feel safer when I surf anonymously when using an open WiFi connection.”
Would you recommend the ChillGlobal smart-plugin?
“Yes, for sure. I would recommend the ChillGlobal smart-plugin to any traveller or expat. As long as you have a decent internet connection you can stream and watch TV from home online and protect your online privacy, which is especially important when login onto open WifI connections all the time.”
